Job summary
Hudson Regional Health in Hoboken, NJ, seeks a Nurse Practitioner with GI expertise to provide comprehensive outpatient care for acute and chronic GI conditions. You will collaborate with physicians and the care team to evaluate, diagnose, and treat, while educating patients on treatment plans and lifestyle adjustments.
The successful candidate will have a Master’s in Nursing, NJ NP/ RN licenses, and 2+ years in gastroenterology.
Qualifications
- Must hold NJ RN and NP licenses.
- Minimum 2 years of NP gastroenterology experience.
- Active CDS/DEA license to prescribe in NJ.
- ACLS and BLS certifications current.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, patient-centered GI care in an outpatient setting.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat GI conditions with evidence-based practices.
- Order and interpret labs, imaging, and screenings; consult as needed.
- Develop differential diagnoses and individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications per guidelines and regulations.
- Educate patients and families on GI conditions, meds, and lifestyle changes.
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans; coordinate follow-up.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care team.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and community resources.
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation and ensure continuity of care.
