Job summary

A premier physician-led multi-specialty medical group in Manhattan is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its growing Gastroenterology team. This is an outstanding opportunity for providers with gastroenterology experience or experienced Primary Care NPs/Client looking to transition into a GI-focused practice.

Comprehensive specialty training will be available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Active New York State NP or PA license.
• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Prior Gastroenterology experience strongly preferred.
• Experienced Primary Care NPs/Client with GI interest considered.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient presentation skills.
• Local candidates preferred.
• NPs must be comfortable practicing under physician supervision in a collaborative model.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient care to patients with acute and chronic GI conditions.
• Perform detailed patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage ongoing GI concerns.
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing and coordinate care with GI specialists.
• Educate patients on disease prevention, treatment options, and lifestyle changes.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
