Job summary
Hudson Regional Hospital in Hoboken, NJ, seeks a Nurse Practitioner to join the GI outpatient team. You will manage acute and chronic GI conditions, collaborate with physicians, and provide patient-centered care.
The ideal candidate has an MSN, NJ NP and RN licenses, 2+ years GI experience, and active ACLS/BLS with a CDS/DEA license in good standing. Full-time role with competitive compensation and benefits.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing required.
- Active NJ Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner licenses.
- At least 2 years of NP practice experience; GI preferred.
- Must maintain licenses to prescribe/dispense under NJ/state law (CDS/DEA).
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive GI patient care in outpatient setting under supervising physician.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat GI conditions; order and interpret labs/imaging as needed.
- Develop differential diagnoses and individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications per guidelines and coordinate follow-up care.
- Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, diet, and preventive care.
- Document thoroughly in electronic medical records; collaborate with GI team and specialists.
- Participate in quality improvement and ensure regulatory compliance.
