Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a GI Tech to join the Highland Park, IL GI Lab. The position is full-time with hours 8:00 am–5:30 pm, Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturday rotation and call requirements including nights, weekends and holidays.

Under RN supervision, you will assist with plan of care, support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and help with emergency responses. You may float to other GI Lab locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Patient Care Tech, Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant highly preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Basic knowledge of physiology, anatomy & medical terminology.
• Ability to take vitals and perform CPR.

Responsibilities

• Assist under the direction of the RN, in the implementation of the established plan of care.
• Assist the physician and the RN during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Respond to emergency situations.
• Responsible for procedure set-up, supply and equipment maintenance, processing and reprocessing of endoscopes and other duties as assigned.
• Responsible for meeting on-call criteria as defined by the department. The employee is expected to float to other GI Lab locations.
