Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute care or outpatient surgery/G.I. lab.
• Completed Moderate Sedation competency within 30 days upon hire.

Responsibilities

• The GI LAB RN is directly accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the Shift Nursing Supervisor.
• Deliver direct and indirect patient care for adolescents, adults and older adults.
• Communicate with physicians and staff about patient condition and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly to changes in condition or treatment and ensure unit workflow remains on track.
