Job summary

Longmont United Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the GI Lab unit in Colorado. The role focuses on facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the healthcare team to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual patient needs through compassionate care.

You will promote optimal patient health and safety through the nursing process, adhere to standards and laws, and maintain accountability in relationship-based care within a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma/endorsement.
• RN license in state of employment.
• 1 year RN experience in GI specialty.
• Physical requirements: medium work, lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs across physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual domains.
• Develop and implement patient care plans with interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in IVs, wound care, meds, catheterization, and specimen collection.
• Maintain accurate patient charts and use IT to communicate and support decision-making.
• Promote patient safety and advocate for patient rights.
• Educate patients and families, assessing learning needs and effectiveness of teaching.
