Marshfield Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE Advanced Gastroenterologist to join as an Adult GI Hospitalist in Marshfield, Wisconsin. The role is designed for an ERCP-trained specialist who thrives in inpatient care, with preferred but not required EUS experience.

The position features a 7 on/7 off schedule, 12-hour onsite shifts with 12 hours of home call, and 3–4 outpatient scopes daily in a dedicated Endoscopy Suite. It includes strong education and research opportunities.

• Inpatient consults and hospital-based duties.

Marshfield Medical Center is in search of a BC/BE Advanced Gastroenterologist to join our established team as an Adult GI Hospitalist in Marshfield, Wisconsin. The incoming physician would join a well-established GI service line supported by Advanced Practitioner Clinicians and numerous other resources at a state-of-the-art facility! This is a broad-based position that includes inpatient consults and is designed for an ERCP-trained specialist who thrives in an inpatient setting but values a predictable, balanced lifestyle. EUS experience and skills are highly preferred but not required.

Position Details

• Features a 7 day on/7 day off schedule rotation with options for schedule flexibility within the annual 26 work week requirement
• Shift weeks are Monday - Sunday
• 12 hours of onsite work, then 12 hours of call from home
• Maximize efficiency with full-time Inpatient Advanced Practice Provider coverage seven days a week, including weekends to assist with rounding and consults
• This role will include performing 3-4 outpatient scopes daily when on schedule in a dedicated Endoscopy Suite
• Coverage of only one Trauma Level II facility, 500-bed Hospital

Compensation and Benefits

Sanford Health offers a nationally competitive compensation plan with an additional physician benefits package including a health, dental and vision insurance, 401K plan, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, CME allowance, allowed time away, malpractice insurance and tail coverage, and a relocation allowance.

• $800,000 shift-based salary requiring 26 weeks of work per year
• In addition, a $200,000 retention incentive to be paid if you remain a 1.0 FTE for 4 years (this will be subject to a contractual agreement specifying all details)
