Job description

Capital Health is seeking a full-time, BC/BE gastroenterologist to join Capital Health Gastroenterology Specialists and serve as a GI hospitalist.

Education, Training, & Experience:

• BC/BE in Gastroenterology
• The ideal candidate would be well-trained, energetic, and willing to help grow the GI program at Capital Health. Additionally, the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting and a commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients are essential.

Practice Highlights:

• You will join two other physicians already part of the GI hospitalist team.
• The schedule involves one week on, 24/7 coverage at one of the two Capital Health campuses, followed by one week off.
• The remaining weeks of call are covered by CHS hospital-employed gastroenterologists, who also maintain thriving outpatient practices.
• Opportunities exist to perform outpatient open access colonoscopies during your on-call week.
• The program is affiliated with an internal medicine and family medicine residency program, and residents may work with you during your call shifts.
• We have one NP rotating between the two campuses to assist the on-call GI hospitalist.
• A dedicated advanced therapeutic gastroenterologist is available for procedures like EUS/ERCP.
• An advanced IR team performs emergency embolizations and TIPS as needed.
• Our full-time staff includes nurses and GI technicians on call 24/7 for procedures outside regular hours.
• All procedures are performed in our state-of-the-art ASGE-certified GI suite with anesthesiology or nurse anesthetist support.

  Location and Program Growth:

  We are conveniently located between New York City and Philadelphia, providing access to urban and suburban populations. Our multispecialty program is rapidly expanding, seeking new talent to treat patients and grow beyond our primary catchment area.
