Summary (Basic Purpose of the Job):

The Gastroenterologist’s role is to provide high-quality medical care to patients with gastrointestinal and liver conditions. This includes delivering comprehensive inpatient services as a GI Hospitalist covering the full spectrum of gastrointestinal diseases.

Minimum Requirements:

• MD/DO Degree
• 3+ years of specialty training from an accredited program; 3+ years of experience practicing as a Gastroenterologist preferred; experience in hospital medicine with complex patients
• NJ & PA licenses; Board certified/eligible in Gastroenterology
• Strong communication skills, highly organized, and highly productive

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• Frequent physical demands include standing, walking, bending, reaching forward, wrist movements, pinching/fine motor activities, keyboard use/repetitive motion
• Occasional physical demands include sitting, climbing, carrying objects, pushing/pulling, twisting, reaching overhead, squatting/kneeling/crawling, tasting or smelling
• Continuous physical demands include talking or hearing
• Lifting: 10 lbs. from floor to waist; 5 lbs. waist level and above
• Sensory requirements include accurate near and far vision, color discrimination, depth perception, and hearing
