Job summary

The Department of Pathology at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking an outstanding candidate for a full-time faculty position with focus on clinical service, teaching and research, primarily in gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary pathology.

Candidates must have an MD degree and California medical license or qualifications to obtain one, GI/HPB fellowship by hiring date, and be Board Certified or Board eligible in Anatomic Pathology by appointment.

Qualifications

  • MD degree or equivalent with valid medical licensure in California.
  • GI and/or HPB pathology fellowship completed by hire date.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Anatomic Pathology by appointment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in surgical pathology service, including night and weekend call.
  • Teach medical students, residents and fellows; participate in conferences and research.
  • Engage in clinical/translational research.
