Job summary

UC San Diego invites applications for Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary Pathologists to join the Division of Anatomic Pathology. The successful candidates will contribute to clinical services across comprehensive cancer and transplant programs at UC San Diego Health, including Moores Cancer Center and Jacobs Medical Center, while engaging in collaborative research and medical education.

Appointment level (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) will reflect experience; California medical

Qualifications

  • MD or DO or MD/PhD in Pathology or related field.
  • California medical license or equivalent certification/permit.
  • Board-eligible or board-certified in Anatomic or Anatomic/Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology.
  • Commitment to academic excellence and teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical responsibilities for specimens across general care, transplant, and cancer programs at UC San Diego Health.
  • Engage in collaborative clinical and translational research with GI/liver teams and others.
  • Teach medical students, residents, visiting scholars, and fellows.
