We are a 38-bed surgical unit dedicated to providing excellent patient care. RNs working here collaborate with some of the region's most innovative surgeons. Our Gastroenterology & GI Surgery program is ranked #20 by U.S. News & World Report.
We care for a diverse patient population requiring colorectal and urology surgeries, ranging from teenagers to over 90 years old. We are leaders in Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) care.

Our GI/GU Service is consistently ranked in the top 20 nationwide. We serve a diverse patient demographic needing colorectal and urology surgeries, leading in ERAS care. Our surgeons are pioneers in refining surgical and non-operative techniques to reduce pain and complications and improve outcomes. Our surgical unit has 38 beds, with an average nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. We offer a supportive environment for learning and professional growth.
Role Purpose: To provide direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards.
