Job summary

Mercy Hospital Springfield - Endoscopy is hiring a full-time Endoscopy Tech in Springfield, MO. Work Monday through Friday in a role dedicated to patient care and endoscopy procedures.

The position offers the opportunity to advance quickly through Mercy's career ladder program, with responsibilities ranging from preparing the field to assisting physicians and nurses while upholding safety standards. Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and must obtain American Heart Association

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintains professional accountability and technical support for patient care in the endoscopy patient experience.
• Prepare the endoscopy field, obtain needed equipment, uphold patient safety standards, and assist the physician and registered nurse.
• Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties and may assist with special procedures as noted on the career ladder program.

Full-time: Monday - Friday

Days

Overview: Maintains professional accountability and technical support for provision of patient care for the endoscopy patients experience. As directed, may be preparing the endoscopy field, obtain needed equipment uphold patient safety standards and assist the physician and registered nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties and may assist with special procedures as noted on the career ladder program. These duties may range from limited to overly complex. All duties are performed in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

• Education: High School Diploma or GED are required.
• Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days
