Job summary

The Oregon Clinic is hiring a full-time Endoscopy Technician for the Gastroenterology East at Gateway in Northeast Portland. You will work with a collaborative team to support procedures, monitor sedated patients, collect specimens, and help prepare patients for GI services.

The role includes reprocessing instruments and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Qualifications include 1 year of Endoscopy Technician or Medical Assistant experience (GI preferred), CPR/BLS, and EMR (Epic) familiarity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of Endoscopy Technician or Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire.
• Prior EMR experience; Epic is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and multitask.
• Excellent attendance and work ethic.
• Professional communication with patients, physicians, and team members.
• Commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procedures and monitoring; supervise sedated patients as needed.
• Collect, label, and handle specimens per policy; ensure correct patient identification.
• Reprocess and disinfect instruments.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment; respond to emergencies as directed.
• Support medical staff by gathering information, taking vital signs, and preparing patients.
• Assist with post-procedure activities and patient education as needed.
• Support department operations, equipment maintenance, and stock checks.
• Contribute to overall delivery of patient care in GI services.
