Job summary

SCA Health is hiring an Endoscopy Technician in the Grants Pass area. You will support endoscopy procedures, maintain sterile technique, and ensure patient safety while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms, passing instruments, handling specimens per policy, and contributing to quality improvement efforts. Prior GI tech experience and BCLS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• GI Tech experience preferred.
• BCLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assist during endoscopy procedures and protect the patient from injury.
• Demonstrate safe operation of endoscopy equipment and report unsafe conditions.
• Speak up with safety concerns and advocate for the patient.
• Handle specimens according to facility policies and procedures.
• Adhere to universal precautions and PPE usage.
• Assemble supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Provide instruments and supplies to the endoscopist during procedures.
• Maintain an organized sterile field and clean equipment after procedures.
• Prepare the room for subsequent patients and post-procedure cleaning.
• Participate in quality improvement and performance review efforts.
• Engage in team meetings, training, and daily safety huddles.
