Overview

GI Alliance is seeking an experienced Endoscopy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse and according to surgery center policy and procedure.
• Assist physician effectively during procedures, anticipating their needs before and during the procedure.
• Report patient outcomes to the Registered Nurse in a timely manner.
• Respond to patient and facility needs in emergency situations, initiating basic CPR as appropriate.
• Perform teaching and orientation for patients and families, including safety information and care environment routines.
• Demonstrate ongoing competence in treating patients across age groups, using a developmental perspective.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper care of endoscopy equipment.
• Manage supply inventory, ensuring central supply, floor stock, office supplies, and rental equipment are adequately stocked and processed.
• Check rental equipment for safety, perform cleaning and disinfection, and ensure proper tagging.
• Process instruments and trays, using appropriate cleaning materials, maintaining records, and following aseptic techniques.
• Adhere to blood‑borne pathogen standards and standard precautions, using PPE during cleaning and handling potentially infectious materials.
• Perform hand hygiene after glove removal and when hands are soiled.
• Observe containment, cleaning, disinfection, and surveillance processes during construction, repair, renovation, or demolition.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years experience in endoscopy preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
