Allegheny Health Network is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support GI-endoscopic procedures under the supervision of the endoscopist and RN. The role includes equipment maintenance, instrument processing, and collaboration with the care team.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED with 0–3 months related experience; CPR certification within 60 days and required background clearances. Preference given to candidates with an Associate’s degree and prior GI-endoscopy experience.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED or 0–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Associate’s degree in health-related field preferred.
• CPR - American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Mansioni

• Assists in maintenance of procedure room supplies and endoscopic equipment.
• Works as part of the GI-endoscopy team during procedures.
• Disassembles and reprocesses instrumentation post-procedure and documents per policy.
• Maintains two-way communication with patients, families and health care team.
• May assist with special procedures under RN/MD direction (e.g., lasers, wound care).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
