Allegheny Health Network is seeking a patient-focused team member to assist during GI-endoscopic procedures under the direction of the endoscopist and RN. You will help maintain endoscopic equipment and supplies, reprocess instrumentation, and communicate effectively with patients and the care team.

Preferences include an Associate's degree in a health-related field and prior GI-endoscopy experience. CPR and background clearances are required per policy.

Formación

• High school diploma / GED or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Associate's degree in health-related field is preferred.
• Prior GI-endoscopy experience is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Acts under the direction of the endoscopist and/or Registered Nurse during endoscopic procedures.
• Participates in the maintenance of procedure room supplies and endoscopic equipment; ensures availability of adequate equipment.
• Disassembles and reprocesses instrumentation post-procedure and maintains documentation.
• Maintains effective two-way communications with patients, families, and health care team.
• May assist with special procedures under the direction of the RN and MD (e.g., Yag lasers, wound care).
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
