Job summary

Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking a Special Procedure Technician to assist with GI endoscopic procedures under physician and RN supervision. The role involves supporting proctoscopies, colonoscopies, ERCPs, and related interventions in GI Lab, Radiology, and acute care areas.

Responsibilities include pre- and post-procedure assistance, ensuring patient safety, and effective communication with the care team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• BLS Certification.
• Orientation to the Center for Digestive Diseases must be completed.
• Ability to act and function in emergency situations.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or similar healthcare role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with endoscopic procedures including proctoscopies, colonoscopies, panendoscopies, sclerotherapies, esophageal or pyloric dilatations, PEGs, ERCPs in GI Lab, Radiology and acute care areas.
• Support physicians and RNs under supervision during procedures and in post-procedure care.
