Job summary

Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking a Special Procedure Technician to assist with endoscopic procedures under the supervision of the Center for Digestive Diseases Manager, RN or physician. You will support proctoscopies, colonoscopies, ERCPs, and related procedures in GI Lab, Radiology and acute care areas.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, instrument handling, and ensuring safe procedure flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• BLS Certification.
• Completion of orientation to the Center for Digestive Diseases.
• Ability to act and function in emergency situations.
• Effective communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills.
• Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or other healthcare position in which those competencies-required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with endoscopic procedures including proctoscopies, colonoscopies, panendoscopies, sclerotherapies, esophageal or pyloric dilatations, PEGs, ERCPs in GI Lab, Radiology and in acute care areas.
• Under direction of Manager of the Center for Digestive Diseases, RN or physician, provide support during procedures.
• Support care team with patient positioning, instrument handling, and patient monitoring as needed.
