Job summary

Favorite Healthcare Staffing, Inc. in Skokie, IL is seeking a GI/Endoscopy Registered Nurse for a full-time day shift. The role includes pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care for GI/endoscopy patients, including sedation, vital monitoring, and patient education.

Must have Illinois RN licensure; GI experience or at least 1 year of acute care. A Bachelor's degree is a plus, and experience with conscious sedation/critical care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• Current (or ability to obtain) state of Illinois RN licensure.
• GI / Gastroenterology experience OR at least 1 year of acute care experience.
• Experience with conscious sedation, critical care, ER, med/surg or tele preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures.
• Assess patients, administer sedation and meds, monitor vitals.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and diet.
• Manage post-procedure recovery to ensure stability and safety.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.
