Job summary

Katmai is seeking a registered nurse for a contract assignment in Colorado Springs to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes across clinical settings. The role supports scheduling, telephonic/as-needed assessments, and communication of evidence-based treatment plans within established protocols.

Required are a BSN, active RN license, and current BCLS/ACLS/PALS, plus 2+ years in primary care. Strong documentation and equipment handling skills are essential in a fast-paced military health

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an NLN- or CCNE-accredited college.
• Active RN license in a compact state or eNLC, or other US jurisdiction.
• License valid with no limitations or pending actions.
• At least 24 months of primary care clinic experience in the last 48 months.
• Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care across a continuum to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Schedule and follow up on patient appointments.
• Assess patient needs telephonically and in person.
• Ensure care standards and documentation meet policies and guidelines.
• Develop and communicate treatment plans per established protocols.
• Arrange referrals and provider scheduling as appropriate.
• Perform clinic procedures per protocol and document findings promptly.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and supply replenishment.
• Participate in orientation and annual training; support nursing colleagues as needed.
