Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Texas seeks a Registered Nurse to provide administrative support, assist with department process improvement, back up the manager, maintain supplies, and coordinate schedules and meetings.

You will monitor quality control logs, manage supplies and equipment maintenance, support staff training, ensure HIPAA compliance, handle patient and staff issues, and help with performance evaluations. Schedule is 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday; full-time.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Excellent computer knowledge and skills that include data input/abstracting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintains daily operations of clinic.
• Keeps manager informed of issues with patients, staff or physicians beyond their comfort level.
• Orders departmental and medical supplies.
• Responsible for equipment maintenance/repair.
• Monitors quality control standards (immunization logs, waived testing, drug sample logs, equipment sterilization logs, etc).
• Resolves less complicated patient, staff and physician issues.
• Assists with evaluating associate performance and recommends merit increases (manager disciplines).
• Reports to manager any associate non-compliance with approved policies.
• Monitors associate work schedule and PTO requests – maintains appropriate staff coverage.
• Makes sure NCHD referrals are appropriate.
• Assists staff as needed
• Follows HIPAA guidelines and maintains confidentiality.
