Job summary

A participating Kia dealer in Pensacola, FL is seeking Military Veterans with mechanical experience for the Automotive Service Technician role. This position is part of a GI Bill® approved apprenticeship program aimed at transitioning Veterans into the automotive industry. Candidates will gain hands-on experience, working alongside skilled technicians while developing their technical knowledge and practical skills in a fast-paced dealership environment. Full-time employment and support for certification are provided.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership service environment.
• Willingness to complete background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engines and transmissions.
• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics using Kia diagnostic procedures.
• Complete repair orders and warranty documentation according to policies.
• Test drive vehicles and verify repair quality with diagnostic tools.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and shop foremen.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment following safety procedures.
