Job summary

A leading automotive retailer in Louisville, Kentucky is seeking Military Veterans with mechanical experience for the role of Automotive Service Technician. This position will be part of a structured apprenticeship program designed to help veterans transition into the automotive industry, providing hands-on experience and leading to Kia Service Technician certification. The program offers full-time employment, training, tools, and a GI Bill-approved Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA) during the apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
• Willingness to complete background check and drug screening.
• Basic automotive maintenance or repair experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engines and electrical systems.
• Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and maintain a safe work environment.

Skills

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Mechanical or technical field experience

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Education

Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service
