Media Resource Specialist - School Librarian

POSITION PURPOSE:

The secondary school librarian supports the hosting of classes in the library while also assisting in the management of the school library resources. The school librarian also ensures that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information, instills a love of learning and exploration, provides equitable access to information, collaborates, and makes connections to the real world and curriculum.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Collaborates with the school community to support lessons in both the school library and classrooms
• Collects, organizes, and promotes resources (both print and digital) to the school community
