Job summary

Raytheon Marlborough, MA or Tewksbury, MA is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer to lead the GhostEye Program. You will oversee scope, budget, and schedule for the radar system and coordinate across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality to meet tight customer deadlines.

The role requires a STEM degree with 10+ years in mechanical design (or advanced degree with 7+ years), EVMS experience, and the ability to present to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science/Technology/Engineering or Mathematics with 10+ years experience, or an advanced degree with 7+ years.
• Minimum eight years in mechanical design.
• Experience leading design, development and production activities.
• Experience preparing technical and cost proposals.
• Experience with earned value management (EVMS).
• Experience presenting technical issues to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scope, budget, and schedule for overall development of the radar system.
• Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Operations, Integrated Supply Chain, and Quality.
• Implement EVMS and risk & opportunity management.
• Plan, budget, and track to cost and schedule while balancing performance to meet critical schedules.
• Review program status with Engineering and Program Leadership.
• Collaborate with chief engineers and production partners to ensure execution.
• Lead design release transition to production.
• Interact with Raytheon management and customers.
• Advise leadership on risk and constraints.
