Job summary

Farmers and Merchants Bank of Long Beach is seeking a GGL Relationship Manager I in Seal Beach, CA. The role focuses on SBA and government-guaranteed lending with a lender-first approach, supporting growth and portfolio management under established credit policies.

You will collaborate with the GGL Manager to expand client relationships, coordinate underwriting support, and ensure compliance with applicable SBA and State Guarantee programs. Strong credit and relationship skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of Government Guaranteed lending or related credit experience.
• Experience supporting GGL transactions in the $1MM–$25MM range.
• Strong written and verbal communication and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and execute GGL relationship coverage plans with the GGL Manager.
• Support business development through COIs, referrals, and targeted prospecting.
• Analyze borrower financial statements and guarantor strength including cash flow and liquidity.
• Prepare and coordinate credit packages, including financial spreads and documentation.
• Support loan structuring, underwriting, and portfolio management within SOPs.
