You will model databases, design data flows, and own the system under load while operating in a fully remote role. Collaboration with customers and AI-driven tooling (Claude) are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Fluent German required for professional communication.
• Solid systems-design background with database-from-scratch capability.
• Experience designing scalable data models and data flows.

Responsibilities

• Own the system design – data modeling, state ownership, component interfaces and load behavior.
• Make hard, reversible design decisions early and justify trade-offs.
• Design and own the data layer end-to-end for new features with scalable indexing.
• Design queues, background jobs and long-running workflows for reliability.
• Talk to customers to understand usage and feed insights into architecture.
• Work independently in an AI-first setup with Claude.
