Job summary

Welo Data seeks a Data Labeling Associate to work onsite in the United States. You will evaluate AI outputs, perform audits on data and model behavior, and help improve evaluation methods with a focus on German-language data.

The role requires native German, strong English writing, and 1–2 years of structured writing experience. A Bachelor's degree and data-quality experience are beneficial for success.

Qualifications

• Native-level German and a university degree (Bachelor's or higher).
• English level at least B2 or superior.
• 1–2 years of professional writing experience with structured writing skills.
• Ability to apply complex writing rules and guidelines consistently.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in safety in GenAI data delivery.
• Strong critical thinking and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in data quality, QA, annotation, or analysis is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI model outputs and provide structured, high-quality feedback.
• Perform audit-based reviews of data and model behavior, identifying patterns and edge cases.
• Apply guidelines thoughtfully and flag misalignments with real-world scenarios.
• Contribute to improving evaluation frameworks beyond mere execution.
• Identify trends in model performance and communicate insights clearly.
• Participate in team discussions, calibrations, and stakeholder syncs.
• Partner with leads and cross-functional teams to refine quality standards.
• Document findings in a clear, concise, and actionable way.
