Job summary

Welo Data is seeking sharp, curious individuals to join our team as a Data Labeling Associate. This 100% onsite role focuses on evaluating AI outputs, identifying gaps, and improving model behavior in real-world scenarios. German speakers with strong writing and attention to detail will excel in this human-in-the-loop QA environment.

Location-friendly sites include NYC, Seattle, and other U.S. hubs; hours are full-time, 40 hours weekly, with W2 full-time employment. Remote work is not available.

Qualifications

• Native-level German language required and university degree.
• B2 or higher level of English proficiency.
• 1–2 years of professional writing experience with structured writing skills.
• Ability to apply complex writing rules consistently and with attention to safety in GenAI data delivery.
• Strong critical thinking and attention to detail; good judgment under ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI model outputs and provide structured, high-quality feedback.
• Perform audit-based reviews of data and model behavior to identify patterns and edge cases.
• Apply guidelines thoughtfully and flag when they don’t reflect real-world scenarios.
• Contribute to improving evaluation frameworks beyond execution.
• Identify trends in model performance and communicate insights clearly.
• Participate in team calibrations and stakeholder syncs.
• Partner with leads and cross-functional teams to refine quality standards.
• Document findings in a clear, concise, and actionable way.
