Job summary

Garden Springs Healthcare is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The role includes screenings, treatment planning support, and participation in group and individual therapies to improve strength, mobility, and function.

You will document in the Net Health EMR and collaborate with the rehab team to meet CMS requirements. A PTA license and ongoing professional development are required, with benefits for full-time

Qualifications

• Associate degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in state(s) of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to residents under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Conduct screenings of residents at regular intervals to determine need for intervention/treatment.
• Assist in evaluation and treatment planning under the Physical Therapist.
• Participate in development of short- and long-term goals and treatment plans.
• Deliver individual and group therapy focusing on strength, mobility, balance, gait, and ROM.
• Assist in selecting techniques/media and adapt as needed with therapist input.
• Monitor resident responses and modify as indicated.
• Help establish and modify resident schedules with the team.
• Assist with documentation in CMS-compliant Net Health EMR.
• Train residents, families, and staff in equipment use.
• Contribute to resident and staff education and QA activities.
