Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with geriatric medicine experience for a staff physician role in Geriatrics and Extended Care/CLC at the Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System.

The position emphasizes long-term care, collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, and teaching responsibilities. EDRP eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Board-certified physician in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Knowledge and experience in caring for older patients or long-term care settings.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care of older patients with multiple complex health problems in a long-term care setting.
• Collaborate with other physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
• Supervise/teach geriatrics fellows and residents.
• Work with Medical Director to maintain quality and administrative needs in nursing home care.
