U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Staff Physician for the Community Living Center, focusing on geriatrics and extended care. The physician will provide comprehensive medical care to Veterans, perform admission H&Ps, develop care plans, and supervise trainees in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting.

The role emphasizes high-quality, patient-centered geriatric care, with involvement in education, research, and quality improvement initiatives within the GECS service.

Formación

• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• MD or DO degree from an affiliated school.
• Current full and unrestricted license in the United States.
• Residency training approved by VA/ACGME or AOA with board eligibility.

Responsabilidades

• Provide comprehensive medical care to Veterans in the Community Living Center.
• Perform admission history and physical examinations and develop management plans.
• Lead and supervise geriatrics fellows, residents, medical students, and other trainees.
• Engage in quality improvement, patient safety, and accreditation activities.
• Participate in after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage as part of on-call schedule.
