Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group in Farmington, CT is looking for a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and clerical support in a fast-paced practice.

You will assist with vitals, patient history, in-house testing, scheduling, chart prep, referrals, and front-desk duties. EPIC EMR experience is preferred; CT CNA/EMT or MA diploma accepted; strong teamwork and patient care mindset encouraged.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association within 3 months of hire.
• All required credentials maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic clinical and clerical support in patient care.
• Take vitals, reconcile outside medications and allergies, perform screenings.
• Assist providers with in-house procedures and scheduling, chart prep, referrals.
• Support front-desk tasks including check-in/out and authorizations.
• Float to other offices as needed.
