Job summary

Aurora Medical Group (AMG) Park Ridge, part of Advocate Health, is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support the geriatrics care team. The 20-hour schedule includes Mon/Wed/Fri 8:30a–5p and Tue/Thu evenings until 6:30p, plus Saturday 8a–12p every other month.

You will welcome patients, take vitals and histories, assist during exams, administer vaccines as directed, perform basic labs, document in the EHR, and coordinate care with physicians and nurses to ensure a compassionate, efficient

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Medical assistant diploma or 2 years MA experience, or certified MA with 2 years MA experience.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
