Job summary

Aurora Medical Group (AMG) in Mount Prospect, part of Advocate Health, is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the ambulatory care team. You will support providers, take vitals, record medical histories, prepare patients for exams, and assist during procedures.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 8-hour shifts between 7a–6p, one Saturday per month 9a–1p; may be scheduled at multiple sites with 1–2 primary locations. Join our collaborative, patient‑focused care team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point‑of‑care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high‑quality, coordinated care.
