Job summary

Aurora Medical Group, part of Advocate Health, is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the ambulatory care team across Mount Prospect and Park Ridge sites. You will support providers, welcome patients, and help ensure a seamless, compassionate experience daily.

The role includes taking vital signs, assisting with exams, administering vaccines, handling labs, and documenting in the electronic health record, with a Monday–Friday schedule and one Saturday per month.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or CMA with 2 years of medical assistant experience to qualify.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
