Job summary

The Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System within the VA seeks a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with Geriatric Medicine training or long-term care experience to join the Geriatric and Extended Care Program. You will provide comprehensive care for older veterans in a multidisciplinary VA environment and contribute to teaching within UCLA.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• MD or equivalent in allopathic/osteopathic medicine.
• Current, full, unrestricted license.
• Residency completed in an accredited core specialty.
• Board Certified in Internal or Family Medicine with Geriatric training or long-term care experience.
• Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for older adults in a long-term care setting.
• Collaborate with physicians, NPs, PAs, nursing, and other disciplines.
• Supervise and teach geriatrics fellows, residents, and trainees.
• Partner with Medical Director for QA and administrative tasks.
• Maintain care in VA Community Living Center and QA in nursing home settings.
