Job summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs’ Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System is seeking a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with Geriatric training or long-term care experience for a UCLA faculty appointment. You will provide comprehensive care to older adults in a multidisciplinary VA environment and supervise trainees on-site, fellowships, and QA activities.

The role requires readiness for UCLA faculty appointment and a commitment to teaching, research, and quality

Qualifications

• US citizen
• MD or DO with licensure
• Board Certified in Internal or Family Medicine with Geriatric training or long-term care experience
• Residency completed in accredited core specialty
• Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care of older adults in a long-term care setting.
• Collaborate with physicians, NPs, PAs, nursing and other disciplines.
• Supervise and teach geriatrics fellows, residents and trainees.
• Partner with Medical Director for QA and administrative tasks.
• Qualify for UCLA faculty appointment.
• Care for elderly with complex needs in a VA Community Living Center (CLC).
• Maintain QA and administrative needs in the CLC setting.
