Job summary

The Greater Los Angeles VA Healthcare System invites qualified physicians in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with geriatrics training to join a UCLA-affiliated faculty appointment. You will provide comprehensive geriatric care in a VA Community Living Center, supervising learners and collaborating with NPs, PAs, nurses, and other staff.

This full-time, on-site role emphasizes QA, teaching, and opportunities within a strong academic environment.

Qualifications

• Board certified in Internal or Family Medicine with geriatrics training or long-term care experience.
• Eligible for UCLA faculty appointment; U.S. citizenship required.
• Licensed to practice in California with completed residency in an accredited core specialty.

Responsibilities

• Clinical care of older adults in a long-term care setting.
• Work with physicians, NPs, PAs, nursing and other disciplines.
• Supervise and teach geriatrics fellows, residents, and trainees.
• Partner with Medical Director for QA and administrative tasks.
• Maintain care for elderly with complex medical needs in VA CLC.
• Collaborate to maintain QA and administrative needs in nursing home care.
