Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our rehabilitation team. You will assess patients, develop and manage therapy plans, and educate families about treatment approaches, while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and facility policies.

Ideal candidates hold FL licensure, have geriatric care exposure, and demonstrate strong documentation and collaborative skills in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Speech Therapist college or university.
• Must hold FL license/registration.
• Experience with long-term care/geriatric care preferred.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Ability to document evaluations, progress notes, discharge docs.
• Collaborates with disciplines for patient-centered care.
• Professionalism and punctuality.
• HIPAA compliance.
• Background screening required in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation services and provide direct patient care.
• Establish and administer treatment programs with goals based on patient capacity and tolerance.
• Set realistic and achievable goals; document and monitor patient condition.
• Educate patients and families using appropriate therapy methods.
• Comply with confidentiality and federal residents' rights; support discharge planning and ongoing care.
