Job summary

Emerald Care Center Southwest is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in a geriatric population. The SLP will work within the Rehab department in a clinical facility and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance residents' quality of life.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology with Oklahoma licensure; CCC-SLP is preferred and prior skilled nursing

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Oklahoma.
• CCC-SLP preferred by ASHA; experience in skilled nursing/geriatric settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and resident needs.
• Implement and monitor therapeutic interventions to improve communication and swallowing functions.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and therapists to provide holistic care.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate progress with residents and families.
