Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• New York State SLP license required.

• Geriatric/SNF experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech-language therapy treatment plans.
• Provide therapy for swallowing disorders, communication deficits, and cognitive-linguistic impairments.
• Conduct audiometric screenings and refer for audiology services when appropriate.
• Collaborate with PTs, OTs, nursing staff, and physicians to optimize resident outcomes.
• Educate residents and families on progress and treatment strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
