Elderwood at Cheektowaga in Cheektowaga, NY is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our rehabilitation team on a full-time or part-time basis. The role involves evaluating residents, developing therapy plans, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to improve swallowing, communication, and cognitive-linguistic outcomes.

Candidates should hold a Master1s in Speech-Language Pathology and NY licensure; CCC-SLP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• New York State SLP license required.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred.
• Geriatric/SNF experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech-language therapy treatment plans.
• Provide therapy for swallowing disorders, communication deficits, and cognitive-linguistic impairments.
• Conduct audiometric screenings and refer for audiology services when appropriate.
• Collaborate with PTs, OTs, nursing staff, and physicians to optimize resident outcomes.
• Educate residents and families on progress and treatment strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
