Job summary

Vicars Landing 1 is seeking a Speech Therapist to provide specialized speech and language therapy within a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. You will enhance residents' communication and swallowing function while supporting overall well-being.

Responsibilities include assisting licensed therapists, coordinating with medical staff, documenting progress, and complying with federal and state guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must possess as a minimum, a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
• Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years’ experience in a therapy capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility or other related medical facility.
• Must possess a valid and current license in this state.
• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
• Possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed therapist in planning, developing, organizing, and directing speech therapy, its programs, and activities.
• Meet with administration, medical and nursing staff, as well as other related departments in planning therapy services.
• Select speech therapy treatments based on medical necessity and diagnosis of resident.
• Maintain accurate documentation on all residents and comply with Federal and State guidelines.
• Other related duties and responsibilities that may become necessary or appropriate to meet the administrative needs of the facility.
