Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Florida is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our rehabilitation team, focusing on assessment and treatment of residents requiring speech and language therapy.

The ideal candidate has an active Florida SLP license, experience in geriatric care, and a proven ability to document evaluations, goals, and progress. This is a full-time, on-site role within a compassionate, interdisciplinary care environment.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• Active Florida license and registration as an SLP.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to write evaluations and discharge summaries.
• Evaluations, weekly progress notes, recertifications and discharge documentation.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care.
• Demonstrates exceptional patient service and clinical excellence.
• Punctual and professional in scheduling and duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
• Adheres to confidentiality, HIPAA, and Residents' Rights.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation and provide direct patient care.
• Develop and administer treatment plans with goals based on patient capacity.
• Set realistic goals, document patient status, and educate patients and families.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.
