Job summary

Majestic Care of Bloomington seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in a geriatric care setting. You will develop individualized treatment plans and collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to promote safe swallowing and functional communication.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• CCC-SLP preferred; CF candidates may be considered.
• 2+ years of experience in SNF or geriatric care preferred.
• Familiarity with Medicare, PDPM, and SNF documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' speech, language, cognition, and swallowing.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and goals.
• Provide interventions for speech, language, voice, fluency, cognition, and dysphagia.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and safe swallowing.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, engaging therapeutic environment and participate in care planning meetings.
• Document evaluations, sessions, progress notes, and billing per policies.
