Job summary

Majestic Care of Carmel is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care for residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in a geriatric setting.

You will assess and treat, develop individualized plans, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, ensure compliance with regulations, and support resident quality of life while maintaining licensure and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• CCC-SLP from ASHA preferred; CF candidates may be considered.
• 2+ years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric care setting preferred.
• Familiarity with Medicare, PDPM, and SNF documentation standards strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate residents’ speech, language, cognitive communication, and swallowing function.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and resident goals.
• Provide therapeutic interventions targeting speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive communication, and dysphagia disorders.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques to support carryover and safety.
• Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging therapeutic environment that encourages resident participation and comfort.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning discussions to ensure coordinated, resident-centered care.
