Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Community Living Center Registered Nurse to provide and supervise direct patient care with emphasis on education, self-management, and patient satisfaction within a team-based setting.

Responsibilities include administering medications, directing nursing education, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required by 38 U.S.C. 7403(f).
• Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by ACEN/CCNE.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent, evidence-based nursing care to assigned residents.
• Coordinate nursing education, orientation, and competencies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to improve care outcomes.
• Lead and participate in quality improvement activities and outcomes utilization.
