Job summary

Presbyterian Villages of Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess residents, develop and implement care plans, and administer nursing care in our skilled/assisted living setting. You will maintain medical records and coordinate with the healthcare team.

The role requires current Michigan RN license, associate degree minimum with BSN preferred, 6 months to 1 year geriatric experience, EMR experience, CPR/First Aid, and availability for holidays/evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher required; RN licensure in Michigan.
Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
Six months to one year geriatric experience preferred.
EMR experience preferred.
Current registration and licensure from the State of Michigan; CPR/First Aid certifications; available to work holidays/evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

Monitor, record, and report residents' symptoms or changes.
Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
Record residents' medical information.
Modify care plans as indicated by residents’ responses.
Supervise staff or a unit as assigned.
Coordinate with healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate resident care plans.
Perform physical assessments and notify physicians as needed.
Follow infection control policies and precautions.
Assist in resident intake and transfers to facilities.
Administer prescribed medications and document administration times and doses.
Observe and chart changes in residents’ conditions.
Ensure records, including Medicare data, are accurate.
Develop and implement skilled and restorative nursing care measures and plans.
Comply with policies, safety, and regulations.
Assist in developing and updating individualized care plans.
Attend meetings and training opportunities.
